GM's Update - December 2025
Dear Valued customers and Somfy friends,
Welcome to the last edition of Motoreyes for 2025, marking the end of my first year at Somfy Oceania. It’s been an incredible journey over the past 12 months, and I want to sincerely thank you all for your support throughout the year. It’s been fantastic to meet many of you, spending time on the road with our teams, learning about your businesses better, and using your invaluable feedback to improve our offers and services. Over the past few months, it has been great to witness the increased market confidence and demand, right on time for a strong season.
Reflecting on 2025, this year has been intense and rewarding, with numerous initiatives supporting our growth plans. The deployment of Zigbee has reached new milestones, with the improvements on commissioning and the delivery of our training days in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Additionally, our team has provided remarkable on-site commissioning and training support, for you and your customers to experience the best from our smart shading solutions. In line with advancing smart shading, participating in CEDIA in late October was another important step in supporting the development of the best motorisation offers integrating into smart homes.
We also focused heavily on improving on supply chain and customer service, allowing us to carry the relevant stock and consistently deliver on our customer service promise throughout 2025. Achieving over 92% DIFOT this year is a notable achievement, the result of consistent efforts and focus by our teams to provide an excellent service at all times.
Another significant achievement has been to extend our Somfy Services network. Along with our dedicated team of electricians in Sydney, we’ve welcomed new Somfy trained electrical partners in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide and Newcastle. As qualified electricians with full training on Somfy solutions, they provide seamless site support, installation, and are reliable partners to helping you grow your automation offerings.
On the product front, enhancing our curtain automation range has been a key focus in 2025. While improving our battery solutions with the Glydea Ultra WireFree Zigbee, the introduction of Movelite 60 and adjustment of Movelite 35 prices, has strengthened our competitive position in the curtain market, in order to drive the adoption of curtain automation while offering a complete and valuable solution for this growing market segment.
Looking ahead to 2026, we’re entering an exciting year, with a number of product releases, new initiatives and campaigns to better support your business. One of the highlights will be our participation at SuperExpo in June, a milestone event for which we are already preparing enthusiastically. Stay tuned for more updates as the year unfolds!
