GM's Update - June 2025
Dear Valued Somfy Customers, Partners and Friends,
As we approach the end of the first half of the year, it's hard to believe how quickly time has passed. The past five months have been an incredible journey for me as I’ve discovered Australia and delved into the window fashion industry, connecting with many of you along the way.
Although the market has experienced a soft start, we are witnessing a resurgence of confidence, particularly following the elections and recent interest rate cuts. This presents a valuable opportunity for us to engage in additional training and explore new technologies and provide more value to end consumers.
Thus, I'm excited to share some of the significant progress we've made during this time:
1. Customer Service Excellence:
I am extremely proud of the Somfy team for achieving an impressive delivery performance—over 90% of our orders have been delivered in full and on time for the last four months, often ahead of the promised delivery dates. This level of service excellence has been a key organisational focus, and it reflects the dedication of our teams and the effectiveness of our 3PL partner.
2. Enhanced Service Partnerships:
To further strengthen our value to retail partners, we have bolstered our electrical services approach by appointing new certified electrical partners in Melbourne and Newcastle. These qualified partners are poised to provide comprehensive installation and technical support for Somfy products, encompassing both indoor and outdoor systems across various technologies including wired, RTS and Zigbee. This move is set to enhance the overall customer experience, ensuring that our retail partners are well-equipped to serve their clients.
3. Improving the experience with Zigbee technology
We are excited to launch our new Pro Charging Station with 16 Channel USB-C , which offers increased business efficiency and a streamlined fast-charging experience for our Smart Shading motors. In addition, we have simplified the commissioning process for Zigbee products, allowing standalone systems to easily program motors and remotes. This initiative ensures that homes are ready for smart home integration while benefiting from the latest advancements in Zigbee technology.
We look forward to sharing more about these developments during our upcoming training events in Sydney on June 26th and in Melbourne on July 9th. These events will provide valuable opportunities for collaboration and business development, so we encourage you to participate.
Thank you for your continued support as we embark on this exciting journey together.
