MD's Update - December 2019

Welcome to our final issue of Motoreyes for 2019, capping off another exciting and successful year for Somfy.

Globally, we celebrated 50 years of bringing Somfy solutions to homes around the world. It was interesting to look back at how technology has advanced since we began in 1969. We are looking forward to what the next 50 years will bring!

Locally, one of our major highlights for 2019 was the BMAA SuperExpo held on the Gold Coast. Our stand - which was our biggest yet - was buzzing for the entire three days of the Expo. Thank you to all our loyal customers, business partners and friends who visited our stand and experienced our smart products and solutions in action.

We also launched four key products in 2019:

• Glydea ULTRA RTS - the premium curtain solution for residential and commercial projects
• Situo Variation RTS - the sleek and sophisticated remote designed for the precise adjustment of venetian blinds thanks to its innovative scroll wheel
• Maestria 50 RTS - our smart obstacle detection motor for external screens
• Altus 28 WireFree RTS - a compact battery-operated motor to complete our WireFree range

To support these new products, we introduced a new-look B2C website earlier this year. The redesign made it easier to navigate and focused on product categories with more detailed information on our products as we learn that the buyer's journey and the cycle of self-education is getting longer.

Looking to 2020, we anticipate another exciting and successful year albeit with external challenges linked to the economy and the environment.
